Dr. Kilgore-Nolan takes her passion for helping her patients beyond the bedside to not only contribute to excellent clinical care, but also research issues and solutions that greatly impact the most vulnerable health populations. She has engaged in research funded by the National Institutes of Health at some of the most world-renowned and cutting-edge academic centers at Emory, Duke, and Yale universities. Dr. Kilgore-Nolan’s primary research interests are women’s mental health, the psychology of leadership, and mental health equity. Her secondary research interests include: social enterprise in health care, healthcare workforce wellness, healthcare leadership development, and comparative health system analyses for balancing quality, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and equity.
